Description
Engine model of the Porsche 917 naturally aspirated engine in unprecedented top quality in terms of fidelity to the original, level of detail and precision. The model was developed and built by Ulrich Hakenjos, the Innovation Award winner "Model of the Year 2022". A total of only 2 of these models have been completed by Ulrich Hakenjos in 1:8 scale.
Attention: this model can not be shipped due to its filigree! It will be handed over by Ulrich Hakenjos personally in Calw (Germany).

- 2 years development time/CAD design work according to original plans/documents and support by the Porsche Museum
- Consisting of 1800 precision parts, which were manufactured in-house with the exception of some purchased parts
- Built using many precision metal parts (turned/milled parts, photo-etched parts, threaded bolts, brass/stainless steel screws and nuts)
- Housing/case parts created from resin using precision 3D printing. All type designations on the housing parts are raised and faithfully reproduced
- Original routing and connections of the ignition cables and fuel lines
- True to original and true to scale surface finishes in terms of coloring, textures and GRP structures
The model comes with flanged differential/transmission unit and mounted on an attractive stand. For connoisseurs and enthusiasts of the Porsche 917 an absolute highlight in the showcase, either as a stand-alone model or presented next to an Amalgam or IXO 917 model!
Included is a 420-page electronic construction documentation (PDF) with over 700 images and 3D-CAD illustrations, in which every part and every construction step can be traced in detail
